Botanical Beach Bone

This piece is inspired by the "beach" the drift wood was found on. Botanical Beach is located on Vancouver Island and it is quite rocky and filled with tons of "fairy pools". These are formations in the rocks that, when the tide goes out, they remain filled with water. Within these little pools is life! Urchins and coral and fish. It's a tiny world that you can gaze upon, and it's a really beautiful sight.
